Worst eyesores - HSBC Building

Is this one of the worst eyesores in Farnborough? This building on the Eastern end of Victoria Road at the junction with Farnborough Road and opposite the Clockhouse, currently houses HSBC. It is also on the former site of the Kingsmead house, where the current Kingsmead shopping centre takes it name. As of January 2009 this building is boarded up and pending demolition with a new office block planned to replace it - another element of the considerable town centre redevelopment now underway.
